There are many causes of acne, but one that has been of much debate in recent years has been diet. There have been quite a few conflicting researches and statistics either linking diet to acne or vice versa. So as usual, people become confused and wonder which side to believe.
To answer this question, we will use a little common sense, something that seems to be lacking in the medical industry these days. We know the body has three major excretory organs, anus, urinary track and yes the skin. In fact the skin is the largest excretory organ. That said, would it be common sense for the body to use the skin to dispose of waste products?
Granted, not all of the skins is being used and not everything will be sent through it, but the body does a great deal of elimination through the skin. However, when the other channels of elimination are backed up, mainly the colon, the body is forced to push junk through the pores of the skin. Granted, acne is caused by an infection (excessive sebum clogs the hair pores), but the sebum is a buildup of toxins that were not eliminated otherwise.
What can cause toxin buildup in the body? The eating of unhealthy foods and the not eating of healthy foods. This is a simple 1 + 1 = 2 equation. Needless to say, it goes a lot deeper than this scientifically concerning the actual process but it’s safe to say that if the diet is wrong, the skin will break out, however if it is right, the skin will flourish. So what are some of the foods that affect the skin and can cause an acne outbreak? Keep reading this site to find out.
